Filming in the snow: exposure and cold

Short answerCameras often make bright snow look grey. Tap the scene and drag the exposure up a little. Keep the phone warm in an inside pocket between shots, and carry a power bank.

Grey snow

Cameras aim for a medium brightness. Bright snow gets pulled down to grey; brighten it manually.

Glare

Sunny snow is very bright. Faces can be dark against it, so tap your face.

Cold

Cold drains batteries. See filming in cold weather.

Questions

Do I need sunglasses for the camera?
